Name of program: Crop Production Technology Description/ Objectives / Information of the program:
The aim of the Department of Crop Production Technology is to promote the development and dissemination of knowledge concerning the science and technology of crop production through teaching and applied research. This teaching and research will emphasize the application of technology to modern methods of sustainable crop production. This Program will produce graduates who should be able to efficiently and effectively plan and manage activities on a farm business, do actual crop production, manage, analyse, interpret and report farm data, develop, adapt and evaluate crop production technologies to suit local needs, assist farmers achieve better efficiency and results in their crop business settings, instruct and assist farmers in modern farming technologies, develop inter- and intra- farm products quality control systems, instruct and assist farmers and private sectors improve and add value to their farm products, and be conversant with modern technologies for use in high level crop production. Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Crop Production Technology Program Duration:

Efficiency in general crop production, modern plant propagation techniques, seed production, soil fertility management and improvement through agro-forestation, postharvest food Management and storage; conception and management of a farm enterprise. Our Graduates will be able to provide training to agricultural technicians and work as researchers in agronomic Institutions. Admission Requirements:
A pass at the GCE Ordinary Level in 5 subjects including Mathematics and English Language, and at the GCE Advanced Level in any 2 science subjects, and their equivalents for candidates who wish to enter year one. Candidates with the Higher National Diploma (HND) certificates in Agriculture are also qualified to enter year three of our program.
